Specifications:
41bhp, 997cc inline four-cylinder engine, four-speed

90.5in. (2,298mm).
Introduced as an updated version of Ford's two-door
Anglia 100E, the 105E of 1960 featured updated styling
and a new powertrain. Most striking was the
reverse-angled "Z-line" rear window, so named
for its sharp profile. This design feature was intended
to prevent rear window fogging. Small rear fins, a
front-hinged bonnet, and a revised grille rounded out the
new design. A new four-speed transmission, a first for
British Fords, was mated to a smaller overhead valve
four-cylinder engine. Output nevertheless increased to 41
horsepower.
Mr. Bernie Ecclestone acquired this particular 1964
Anglia in 1994 from the Patrick Collection in Birmingham.
The only other owner of record is Mr. Henry Frank Godfrey
of Leamington, whose ownership dates from before 1978,
and who may in fact be the original owner.
As presented, this lovely Anglia remains unrestored and
largely original with approximately 15,000 miles since
new. With the exception of certain flaws and
imperfections, the paint is of good quality; it appears
that the body was repainted over the years, where and
when necessary, although a complete repaint was never
needed. While the exterior rubbers, as on the interior,
are ageing, the chrome and brightwork are generally in
very good original condition, with only minor signs of
ageing evident.
Excepting minor spots attributable to age, the dash and
trim on the interior are completely original and in very
good condition. The red seat cushions and upholstery are
in as new condition and fit well, while the original
factory rubber floor matting remains in excellent
condition.
The condition of the engine bay and undercarriage are
consistent with a 15,000-mile unrestored car and
generally quite clean overall. The vendor advises that an
inspection revealed that a braking system rebuild and
exhaust system replacement were needed. Both projects
were conducted with original Ford components.
This unrestored Ford Anglia 105E is a time capsule
survivor. While careful and occasional driving will not
hurt it, the Anglia's originality makes it an ideal
display piece, where its condition will delight viewers
as much as its appealing design.
