The Ford Anglia 105E
Sportsman was to all intents and purposes a normal Anglia, except
that
the spare wheel was mounted on the outside of the boot, to give a
little extra boot space. One of
the European Ford brouchures has the following photo of a
Sportsman.

There was also a simple Sportsman
Brochure produced showing the
virtues of buying an
Anglia with an exterior spare wheel.
The popularity of the
Sportsman can still be seen today, with quite a few surviving
European
Anglia's still sporting their spare wheels on the outside.

For the Anglia owners in the
UK there was a couple of "Continental Conversion" kits
available.
One such kit was from "Components and Accessories Ltd"....

... with another one from "Charleson Sportsline"....

... and another one from "David Buxton Limited" who also tuned the engine.

It would be interesting to
know how many of these kits were sold, and if any still survive.
Please feel free to email me, if
you have any photo's or other
information about these conversions.
